The Division of Plant Pathology at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) Kashmir is opening doors for enthusiastic researchers through an exciting venture funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT). This endeavor, titled “Colletotrichum Lindemuth Anum transformant repository: From functional characterization of virulence genes to their role in bean anthracnose dialogue,” beckons eligible candidates to join as Junior Research Fellows (JRF) and Project Assistants.
The heart of this initiative lies in understanding and characterizing virulence genes within Colletotrichum Lindemuth Anum, the causal agent of bean anthracnose. The project’s focal point extends beyond identification, delving into the functional aspects of these genes. Moreover, it aims to unravel the intricate dialogue between the pathogen and its bean host, fostering a comprehensive repository of transformants for future research.
